i used to live next door to her and she
practices her guitar all the time.
i don't think they wear makeup for practice.

i thought it was especially funny when the guy from bomp was all "they were really nice people and friendly"
well duh, if the guy from bomp wanted my band on his label i'd be pretty nice and friendly too.
i've met those girls or at least the peeps a few times at the cannery row (rip) and they were not nice at all, in fact mean and stuck up comes to mind,
but i guess thats the "attitude" part of their schtick
-trunkspaceAll the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

if you have a schtick, cop to it and have fun with it. that's the point of having a schtick in the first place, isn't it? i wouldn't want to have someone saying i only get by being in my band because i'm a girl. even if it were true (yikes). as has been pointed out, there are few enough women playing music in this town. instead of an 'i'm better than you' attitude, why not show a little comraderie? and that goes for everyone, man, woman, beast.
i practice my guitar, too. and i might just wear make up to do it. how about that?
