Sebadoh ~ The Freed Man
You won't be the first, your twisted change is normal
Gossip dirt, whispered to the nodding head
Thrilled you fell apart, instead of them
But they will
Any hope for love can be killed
If you need a different face, it's definite time to destroy this place
Any thought could be the beginning of the brand new tangled web you're spinning
Anyone could be a brand new love
Any tithe that holds can be broken, tear your bitter world to the open
Anyone could be a brand new love
ooooh......and this
Hey girl, do you see the thing I see?
I'm linking to a line looking your eyes at me
Dumpy young thing, just reach in for something to reach for
Baby, you’re beautiful, baby, you sweet whitey peach whore
There's a man
Finger, fist; shaft to tip, mat to rug 'til you scream
Horny young ape walking with not a stall as I sing
No, I'm not the one
I know that you’re trippin' my way
Bland and quite usual; swear it's a beautiful day
oh....and this old gem....(from a different record)
Heart-broken and attractive
A sad, sloppy mess
Lookin' for approval
And easily impressed

Is that Interpol album good? I loved their first album but was not a fan of Antics.
I sat down and gave it a thorough listening over the weekend.
When compared to Bright Lights and Antics, I would say that the new one bears more similarities to Bright Lights, as far as the actual songs.
However, the actual recording quality has that distinctly "safe" feel, in terms of recording levels and effects, that major label records always seem to have, as well as some odd distractions (string sections, etc). As a result, some of their characteristic "dark" mood is missing.
In the end, I like the record, I am still an enthusiastic Interpol fan, but this was probably the "least good" record of their catalog.

And yes, tpopt. Definitely some goodness on that record. The reissue has a bunch of 7" stuff on it too, totaling 52(!) songs on the CD.
