menomena - friend and foe

i've been listening to this at work all day.
this album is so good it's killing me

YES!

i love just about every song on this album, especially muscle n' flow.

i also like i am the fun blame monster, but it's not on the same level.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

i agree, i also like I am the fun blame monster but the production on the two albums is totally different. I feel like Friend and Foe is deeper and more epic and they seem to have gotten more creative with layering vocal tracks.
i am really digging Rotten Hell and Air Aid and Muscle n' Flow and West....fuck....they are all good!

have you heard the soundtrack - under an hour?

i'm told it's all instrumental and more experimental, but i haven't heard the whole thing.

No i haven't!
But i am interested in hearing it, i bet it is good.....it seems like their music would lend itself well to instrumental only.

The coolest thing about them is how normal and dorky they are:
