My purchase of Mogwai ~ The Hawk is Howling was pretty much obligatory. I wasn't expecting too much.
However, now that I'm giving it an attentive listen, this is a damn fine record with damn fine song names. And in my world, a good song title adds to the value of a song threefold.
My current favorite is "I Love You, I'm Going to Blow Up Your School".
I regret missing them in September in Tucson with the (legendary) Fuck Buttons, but I was going to New York the next week.
Still. Damn that show would have been great.

Yeah I missed them too, kinda sucked. I haven't listened to the new album in a while, but "The Sun Smells To Loud" is awesme.
I will hopefull y be listening to some cat power on the record player soon. If not then I just passed out. d'oh
