The Dandys recorded the Black Album back in '96 when Capitol first signed them after their initial indie label record amazed and confused the masses (The Dandys Rule, Okay). When they turned in the studio tapes to Capitol, the corporate label said, "do it over." So they scrapped most of the Black Album and recorded The Dandy Warhols Come Down. The Black Album was lost forever, or so we fans thought, until the Dandys released it a month or so ago only through their website. The second disk contains b sides and covers from the last few years. Covers of note are: The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald (two versions), Call Me, Relax, Hells Bells, Ohio, and Jean Genie.
