And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead ~ The Century of Self (best output in a while, I'm really digging it)
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart ~ s/t
ok...my bartender, Gary(the brit, you met him) told me about the Pains of Being Pure at Heart, and, despite their horrible name, it's fucking great. it's like superchunk and ride had gay-babies together. i love it.
the new ToD is definitely a step back toward their roots and is also quite great.
that being said...i just saw (along with openers Midnight Masses, also quite good and including members of ToD) the Pains of Being Pure at Heart open for ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead a few weeks ago.
it was fantastic.
there were also a whole lot of letters on the show poster.

Holy shit that sounds incredible. Had they thrown in A Place to Bury Strangers, it would have been a letter orgy.
And Pains of Being Pure at Heart also reminds me of Boyracer. Not a bad thing at all.

Can I ask a huge favor of you? Can you send me mp3s of A Place to Bury Strangers? I've had the record for a while but no way to get it on my computer, so my listening to it is ever so limited. I'll send you those Bozart mp3s I promised so long ago.

A Plus on that lineup
thats a good idea, I will know also listen to these albums as well, but I don't have that crimpshrine at work, just Duct tape Soup.. A sound of a new world being born is better than Duct tape Soup. But i digress.
