Noise. Not metal. Noise.
Loud. Ugly. Abrasive as fuck. I fucking love it.
And for the record, the first song on the new Mastodon album is pure shit where vocals are concerned. The rest of the album is pretty a-ok in my book tho. Not a devoted fanatic (okay, maybe I am, sue me), I just really like what they're doing with music, underground or not. And by the way, the new album is prog rock, not metal, just in case that's what was bothering you.

they are alll right, i don't love them by any means, but don't hate them...its just kinda there.
One of my old bands had a song that sounded exactly like one of the songs of there album, but our version predated theres by a couple years.
