I was listening to a youtube video of Quicksands Manic Compression (you know those vids that are a picture of an album cover and the whole album), then my browser crashed, but the music didn't stop, i reopened and its still playing, no youtube in site, so I am kinda confused/stoked that Quicksand will apparently never stop playing out of my computer at work.

This guy does Dear Landlord,Screeching Weasel, OWTH, and Misfits covers on the Ukulele

Its interesting and I will probably only listen to it once, but he's from Germany.

In the Misfits song AstroZombies I always thought he said "...who am I doing this forehead, me or you..." I was wrong.

That is the power that Quicsand has! On a related note, I pretend Rival Schools never existed.

So yeah. Greymachine.

Not accessible in the least. This is instrumental and vocal noise in the purest sense. I'm reminded of early Wax Trax recordings, of prime-era Amphetamine Reptile recordings, and especially of first generation Pigface.

The sound is nothing like Jesu, Isis, or Head of David. The members do not indicate the sound. This is a collaboration that stands alone.

That being said, holy fucking shit, this is awesome.

Will you like it? I kinda doubt it, but I certainly do. But hey, I'm drunk right now.

Will it be in my top ten for this year? ABSOLUTELY.

I love the Beautiful South......mostly the first couple, and mostly mostly the first. they were kinda like the smiths & belle&sebastian all rolled up into one.

kinda.

i've been listening to the latest records by Aimee Mann, Sam Phillips, BB King, Joe Henry, Rodney Crowell, Loudon Wainright....pretty much anything produced by Joe Henry or T-Bone Burnett. That's my home music. Also been listening to a bunch of 70's country rock-ish stuff (Pure Prairie League, Poco, America)...and then he kinda stuff that I put together for the DJ thing at the Bikini, fun stuff.

Shang-a-Lang (my favorite fucking band, the Beatles of my late 20s!!!)

I just downloaded the Sad Magic LP, which is fucking great.

"Nasty Weather" and "Best Intentions" would be the stand-outs for me.

Also, been listening to a lot of Banner Pilot Resignation Day - highly recommended.
