How is this? Mogwai is probably the best show I've ever seen, and I'm wondering how well it comes across on this album. I'll probably end up buying anyway, but I'm just wondering if I'll be disappointed.mogwai - government commissions - bbc sessions 1996-2003

Too much filler, I think I'd rather just listen to Deloused...
My favorite parts so far are the John Frusciante and Flea appearences

i really like it. it sounds basically like a studio album as far as recording quality, but it definitely has that 'live feel' to it because certain elements that are buried on the studio albums are more prominent. it's a really good collection. if someone had never heard mogwai before this would be a great introduction. How is this? Yeah Mogwai is pretty much in the top 3 for me. So fuck it, I went and got it on the way home from work. On my first listen, I'd say it's pretty good. Kind of gives you the minimalist version of their live show, minus your organs being abused by volume.then again, mogwai is one of my favorites so i may be a little biased

This was probably just Rick shilling for Shellac because Albini re-recorded In Color for them. We may never see the light of this recording, but it was done. The other day the wife and I were watching a Rachel Ray show on the Food network. She hanging out with Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick and he was picking out records for her to buy. In addition to a Cheap Trick record, he told her to get 1000 Hurts and ONoffON by Mission of Burma. Later when I was re organizing my albums, those two were right on top of each other. This is a roundabout way of saying that record is so awesome Rick Nielsen knows it.
1000 Hurts is a fantastic album, either way. So is OnOffOn.
Take your time old man, these vultures are happy to wait...
