Caribou (Manitoba) - The Milk of Human Kindness

He apparently tours with 2 live drummers. He's hitting Modified in a couple of weeks, with the Junior Boys and the Russian Futurists.

This show will make me happy.

And yes, the Caribou album is fucking incredible.

Yeah, it took me a little bit to get into this record, but it's pretty solid.

Speaking of records that took me a while, I really like Traindodge's "The Truth" now. When I first heard it, I thought it was a little too gimmicky for me. Like "this is the ambient rock noise song, this is the whispering song, this is the upbeat poppy song, etc." but I gave it a really good listen last night and I'm pretty impressed. I like the second cd more than the first, but overall it's a really good album.

All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.
