I'm partial to 'Voice of Harold' from Dead Letter Office, but probably because I heard that one first.7 Chinese Brothers is quite possibly one of the best songs ever.

i'm quite partial to the "voice of harold" side because i especially like when Stipe calls out the record number from Temple Records:
"J. Elmo Fagg, founder and leader
Of the Blue Ridge Quartet
For 23 Years. Temple Records, LST 390
Planning to make a record?
We are associated with United Music World Recording Studios, Inc.,
West Columbia, SC. The finest sound available anywhere"
And "Old Rugged Cross" -- sublime. Speaking of "Reckoning" though, it's by far my favorite REM album. Has anyone seen the "Succumbs" video where the record is played to a soundtrack of 8mm film shot of the band wandering around a whirligig farm somewhere out in Georigia at sundown. It is so great. If you haven't and you're a fan of this album, get ahold of this tape.
T.
