And to add on a new surprise about my set that hasn't been revealed anywhere else publicly...I'll be performing a selection of works from Saori Kobayashi's Panzer Dragoon Saga! Last year, back when we were allowed to lick each other ferociously and suffer no consequences, Stemage, Kobayashi, Michelle Dreyband and I played a set at MAGWest, which was the first event where I met quite a few of you who came out to there! While it'll only be me playing this time, with the good graces of Alex from Brave Wave (Kobayashi's manager), Kobayashi, and Stemage, who recorded several guitar tracks specifically for this set, I hope you'll be able to enjoy a truly SICK soundtrack. I'll also be playing some stuff from B/I/R/T/H/D/A/Y, which Papahoodwinker also played at the FIRST Virtual VGM Fest. I picked out tracks he didn't play in that set, and I may add on a track or two of my own...if I can find the time.
One of the better current breakdowns and updates I’ve seen
That was a good vid, but why did he say "yeah go take hydroxychloroquine if you want"? The information I've picked up about it would suggest NOT to take it so whimsically because there hasn't been any significant links to curing COVID, and it increases the chance of arrhythmia, not to mention, it'll continue to fuck up the supply for lupus patients. That made no sense in the context of the video.
Rize is obviously correct and the fact so many of you think he is obviously wrong is painfully indicative of how biased and warped your perceptions are. The left is winning long term and easily so. It's just not your idealized version of the left and you guys don't like how it's turning out.
...wait, you're not being sarcastic? Can you back up anything Rize's posts are saying with actual evidence, logically consistent observations and deduction? Because they really don't make sense and do not clearly reach the conclusion they're asserting.
Robby making a fully sarcastic post has provided more logically consistent observations. You aren't going to just ignore that, are you?
The people behind the tournaments are creepy, irredeemable bastards.
It's not just fighting games. I definitely have a couple stories of my own ranging from mild to extreme, involving people I've worked with (none have ever directly involved me). For some reason, gaming and especially e-sports just enables a lot of mega shitty behavior. I used to be heavily involved with competitive Team Fortress 2.
Happy 20th birthday, Jet Set Radio!!! Even though I'm bad at playing you, your STYLE and of course MUSIC!!! has both had a positive impact and has shaped the way I make my music.
In celebration, I've released an EP with some covers of Jet Set Radio (the original, of course). It's a departure from pretty much anything I've made before, but I've been trying to make this style for years now.
There definitely are way more fireworks going off than usual. More than a decade here in the Bay and this is the first time I've heard them at LEAST once a night, AND sometimes multiple times a night, much less having any fireworks outside of July 4th. They don't bother me generally (but being shot out at around midnight to 1 AM is annoying), but it's stupid, whatever it is. Who knows who's doing it or why they're being set off.
This is random but I'm surprised one of my tracks got a jump in listens in Tokyo! I've always wanted to grow more listeners in Japan so it's very nice to see. Pretty appropriate, it's from a cover EP of The World Ends With You. I know it has cult status in the U.S. (including myself), and I think it also has it in Japan. What was cool and inspiring was when I went to Tokyo and the Square Enix cafe, which was all TWEWY themed.
