I ain't worried about you two.....you guys are pretty pc ......it's jomomma that keeps me up at night....

I have some pretty silly records...

Leif Garret & such..I'm a sucker for the stuff that was on the radio when I was a kid...the 70's soft rock stuff...and yes, a few KISS records....Miss Delish and I share a mutual affection for Ace....

I did a painting of Ace Freelee in my freshman art class.

It's probably collecting dust in a thrift store somewhere in Nebraska.

Black Sabbath started grunge

Couldnt one make a case for Wayne Kramer as the father of grunge? Kick out the jams indeed.

I am in agreement with mike mfer, there isn't too much that is truly "unreleased" , anyone who has checked out/burned a copy of any of the "outcestide" series knows this. I think what they are deeming as "unreleased" is just basically rough drafts of songs, and the like. The one they are calling "verse chorus verse" which is supposed to be one of the better recorded unreleased recordings, I had actually heard on some bootleg tape I picked up in junior high, I still have it, but the song is titled "in his room", who knows, the tape is unofficial as can be. I also have recordings of nirvana covering KISS and mudhoney. I haven't checked out the track listing of the box set , I would like to own these recordings in digital format, so I am picking it up anyways. I am hoping for at least one unreleased song that was actually recorded in a studio and has good production. I would like to own "gallons of rubbing alcohol flow through the strip", which is an awesome song but was only released on the first batch of in utero cds. (lucky bastards)

is "beans" on the box set?

No offense, but let's face it, GNR fans are dipshit headbangers aren't they?

Of course GNR would bash Nirvana, and vice versa.....

GNR was fucking ridiculous.....all the poofy hair and silly dancing.....and leather pants......

The drummer was alright, at least he didn't play a big dumb kit....

:(

I <3 GNR

I know Donald, I know....and Ween, and Mr. Bungle......I know....

;)

whoa... let's not pull the mighty ween into this. mr. bungle are pretty impressive as well - pink cigarette is a great song.

Thank you! How anyone can put GNR, Ween, and Mr. Bungle in the same category is beyond me. The only category that works here is "bands that HFE doesn't like".

I'm not sure how new the GNR Behind the Music is, but I saw it recently and it was pretty good. Axl Rose is such a fucking douche bag. It's also pretty surprising that Slash found a junkie to do vocals in Velvet Revolver given all the shit that they had to go through with Axl being so unreliable and mentally unstable.

This is the fastest growing thread I've ever seen that doesn't involve either porn or drama.
