No offense, but let's face it, GNR fans are dipshit headbangers aren't they?

Of course GNR would bash Nirvana, and vice versa.....

GNR was fucking ridiculous.....all the poofy hair and silly dancing.....and leather pants......

The drummer was alright, at least he didn't play a big dumb kit....

:(

Ha ha ha ha ha ha

Anyway, axl, I see what you're getting at. In that sense I think you are correct. Bands like Nirvana and Jane's Addiction paved the way for smaller acts to get into the mainstream without having to sell out. All the sudden stuff that was "alternative" became palatable to the mainstream.

Why would there be 'bad blood'?
Does anyone really care about that kinda stuff?

in 93 Axl dissed kurt and shit, but Axl has said that he liked their music, but the rest of GNR had bashed the band quite a bit up to that point.

and yeah some people do care, why i dont know, I go to a GNR forum and people bash both bands on there, and in high school people would always tell me shit I didnt want to hear about GNR and how there music, Like Nirvana, korn.... limp biskit were the shit and how GNR was a kite flyer group...

and Janes Addiction's was around before Nirvana.

wasnt it the other way around?

i thought that mister rose really liked nirvana and asked them to tour
but kurt told them no way

and then at a awards show, axle walked by and courtney sarcastically asked axle if he wanted to be their god parent

and then axle responded to kurt by saying something like keep your bitch on a leash

and then of course it got out of control at that point

isn't that what happened?

(keep in mind, we all have very different backgrounds & ages, here....when GNR came out I was into the Descendents......I thought they, GnR, were just another dirt head band.....I always associated Metal with all those tough guy morons who called us kids wearing Doc Martens & Conversa, i could be banned soon.....years later of course, they all got into punk rock, when it was safe......I still hold a grudge.....)

Holy shit man, we actually have a lot in common. Guns and Roses, to me, was no different than Ratt, Winger, Quiet Riot, Warrant, Poison, or any other 'style before substance' band. And the Descendents were the best thing going as a soundtrack for teen angst.

and GnR was on a major from the get-go.....

they tried to fake like their first ep was on an indie, but it was bullshit...

Janes & Nirvana both started on indies (not that that matters at all)

I never was huge into Janes.....again, more headbanger anthems....

but they were cool enough.....kinda glammy though....
and that guitar player was a retard...

the nice thing about Nirvana (excpet for all that stupid as long hair) was that they looked like 'us'..........a little bit......

I was partial to the first Pavement record.....that made more sense to me.....

G&R was never about music- it was all about fame and money and moving units. And their "November Rain" video made me want to puke blood. Cock rockers.

thank you for understanding my metal background

I always dug everything though, it was just that metal
was more available when I was a kid then anything else,
other then country and 50's rock which were the only things
played on the radio when I was a kid.

I mean, I still have a love for patsy cline, marty robbins,
and chubby checker.

But Metallica, Testament, Exodus, and Megadeth
will always be in my heart as well.
