There are several late night bowling league options for the summer coming up at Country club bowl in Mesa. I know there is one for sure on Friday's after 9 pm. I think it is a mixed league too. 5 person teams consiting of either 2 women and three men or three women and 2 men. I will look into it. I am down for a bowling league if its later in the evening.

I don'tknow if I could play every friday though, I know at least one friday a month I will
need to be downtown.

I am down for whatever week night (provided I don't have a gig). Like I said i will check out there league schedules for the summer at Country Club when Mothy gets into town on the 26th.

this has been brought up and shot down again and again. It's all fun and games till we relearn of the $300 some-odd dollar deposite then everyone parts ways only to bring up the idea 9 months later. I think Dan and I may be the only ones willing to invest themselves financially in this, if we could get a few more.....godfkvuck this is never going to happen I just need to come to terms with it. it's been like 6 years since i moved from Arizona, so i'm not all up to date, but didn't there used to be a bowling alley in phoenix where they had shows too? i can't remember what it was called - is that place gone?

by the way, if i lived anywhere near there, i'd be SO down for a shizz bowling league, omg

Yes there was, it is shutdown now and no longer exists, unfortunately I don't remember the name of the place

I think it was called Tempe Bowl, marty took me down and I believe we saw bluetip play there, or maybe it was bluebird, damn I can't remember that far back anymore.

it was the Tempe Bowl and it was Bluetip...those were some fun shows, sliding all over the lanes when you played. The Makeup played there as well..

I will confirm that it was the Tempe Bowl. I saw June of 44 and Jimmy Eat World, and a kick ass band at the time called JeJune. Also, saw the Wicked Farleys play there and I think Donald maybe the band was Blue Ontario? Probably not...

We can always start our own league. We don't need to be sponsored or join one that is already existing. If we had enough teams say 4 to 5 I know the scoring and handicap process that goes into league play. We could just do it old school style with printouts of the scores...the alley can print your scores for you and then we would just have to figure out the team scores and handicaps. But, the $300 deposit is not that bad...if you want to save the headache of having to do all that math. Then again you have to have people commit to the teams because in some leagues you pay a fee each night. One league I was in at The Brunswick in Mesa a paid $20 a night fee to bowl. This money was higher becuase the stakes at the end were higher (my team placed third and I made all that money back plus some). The last league I was in we only paid $10 a night Which was really modest comparatively. I guess we should just look into it on Thursday. see ya'll there
