So, um, out of curiosity, how the fuck did this thread get 473,000 views?

All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

In Bruges
Choke
Slumdog Millionaire
The Toxic Avenger
The Toxic Avenger II

As you can see, this weekend ran the gamut from cinematic art (The Toxic Avenger II) to complete, near unwatchable cheese (Slumdog Millionaire).

And thanks for the recommendation for In Bruges, capthfc. That movie fucking ruled.

In Bruges was one of the most underrated movies of last year, I think. So amazing.

I watched Lord of the Rings - Fellowship... and man, I forgot how amazing that movie is. The music is amazing as well.

Mindy... she was too good for him. I'd rather watch her get a show than Daisy. I loathe Daisy.

Who was Daisy?

EDIT: Never mind, I was thinking Season 3. Carry on.

Choke

How was Choke? Loved the book, but haven't had a chance to see the movie yet.

I've just started the show "Corner Gas". I'm not hooked, but I've been amused. But maybe that's just because I love Candians...

Also saw the first episode of that "Sit Down, Shut Up" last night (from the creator of Arrested Development). I'm not going to get too emotionally invested in it because I'm certain FOX will just cancel it anyway, but I really enjoyed it. Will Forte steals every scene he's in...

I'm just gonna leave it at "not too bad".

I'm glad I saw it, and I enjoyed watching it, but it didn't really wow me.

So I am on a Bollywood Kick

I watched Guru last weekend, and Johnny Gadaar this weekend, both pretty good films, but not as good as Black

My fav bollywood actors right now are the almighty Amitabh Bachan and his beautiful Daughter in law Aishwarya Rai

I have noticed that just about any Bollywood movie that does not have Amitabh acting in it, has some reference to him in one way or another, Slumdog Millionaire being no exception.

Unfortunately, I now think of 6 year olds covered in shit when I think of Amitabh.

But gosh darn it's adorable.

Really good and awesome soundtrack!

M.I.A. kicks all sorts of ass.

I was on a Guy Ritchie kick last night.

Revolver
RocknRolla

Revolver was too cryptic/cerebral/deep/philosophical/whatever for its own good, yet I saw
Spoiler
coming from the beginning.

RocknRolla was fookin' awesome tho
