+1 to portlandia

I watched nowhere boy last night. So good - made me get choked up. That aaron johnson kid is freaking adorable. More so than when he was in Kick Ass.

Super Bowl Sunday? Try "Elitist Foreign Film Festival Sunday."

Das Experiment (2001, Germany) ~ Great flick, totally sucked me in, made me sympathize with the characters. Inspired by the Stanford prison experiment. Not to be confused with the 2010 shitfest remake, which apparently took the liberty of rewriting the script (...again. I hate you, Hollywood.)

Taxidermia (2006, Hungary) ~ One of the more WTF movies I've seen.... well.... ever. Beautifully filmed, but when a movie involves professional binge/purgers and begins with a dude masturbating until he jizzes fire, well, you know you're in for the real deal.

Hausu (1977, Japan) ~ Took me a while to get into it. Simultaneous comedy, horror and pychedelica. If you're up for a painlessly bizarre movie, you can't really go wrong here. Bonus points for furniture consuming schoolgirls.

I also finished Ssn 3 of Dexter last week. moving on to Ssn 4.

Hahaha goddamn I miss that show. Good thing everyone (except for Rob Huebel) is still regularly doing good work.

The Runaways

Meh at best, but it did nothing to deminish my unabashed love of Joan Jett.

the documentary Edgeplay was WAY better than that fluff of a movie. However, I thought Dakota was fantastic as well and Michael Shannon as Kim Fowley; his portrail really captured that awesome hot mess, creepshow. (and I'm not talking the direction just the screenplay. FLUFF)

I really wish Jodorowsky directed Dune instead of David Lynch.

Last night I watched an episode of the 1970s live action Incredible Hulk TV show with my old man. It was an episode where the Hulk got a job as a bartender at a disco and went on a crusade against teen alcoholism. It was really, really, really bad. He just bought the whole box set so there's 18 discs of this. I can't say I'm not looking forward to seeing if they're all that bad. :P

Ok ok. That dude singing with the bass was awesome. And I do not like AI. Props.
Hope he wins. Gives hope to all bass playing virgins of the world to get laid. Ha.

@weener - So you're looking forward to watching David Banner < Lou Ferrigno?
I probably saw every episode as a child. Every time I see Ferrigno these days
it reminds me of him being deputized by sheriff joe. barf
