My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

GREAT time last night... i didn't get to spend as much time there as i would have liked, but everything SEEMED to have run like clockwork... Great jorb, Tony and others. Nice outfit, DOnald. Maybe dress up a little, next time.

Shizz founder Donald Martinez was wearing a snazzy tux for most of the evening (see picture above), and later told me he's "98 percent gay," though I'm certain he was joking about any homosexual leanings.

Fun fact: ShizzFest 2003 was the first time I met Donald Martinez. He knew who I was because I put some Meatwhistle stickers on Modified's flyer rack. It was a rad time.

Awesome show last night. Great pics Viewfinder. A4S was awesome as usual. Cagematch!!! Tony, thanks for having us. We had a blast. Seems your sister-in-law and her friends took quite a liking to us. They said we were "in". I guess that means we're friends now... again.
Great review by NT. We had to leave as AAA was setting up, but luckily I've seen them plenty of times to remember the awesomeness the writer described in the article.
