i'm totally stoked about playing this show. Is there a timeslot/lineup sorta thing floatin around yet? It only seems fitting to get Sparks to sponsor this event. Tony, get on that shit, holmes.

Even if it's that crappy no caffeine kind.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

i'm pretty sure JRC doesn't want a bunch of people drinking alcohol in the parking lot, but if you're talking about setting up a grill or serving food? sounds reasonable to me. JRC? what say you?

This should be hip, almost like a late 90's reunion of tempe/phoenix indie underground rock

So I totally had a dream about this day already. Pretty intense. Nothing really exciting, just the usual setting up and being super nervous about having enough time to set up etc. I seem to have these dreams about shows when I don't play shows for a long time. I think I am especially excited about this one because of all the amazing talent that is going to be there. Hmmm... that was a lame dream/post.

Oh, Craig at Art One took some flyers and put them out for us on Saturday. :)

i emailed with JRC about this. he says he actually has a couple of small grills there at the trunk space - just bring charcoal and your cooking shoes.

okay, he didn't mention the cooking shoes. but he did say bring charcoal. and i would assume you'd probably need to bring food, too. and probably lighter fluid, matches, and a spatula. but in short, if you want to eat there we can hook it up. it will be just like the grill at the monastery (rip).

All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.
