now i don't expect to get down to 150lbs. i figure i'd look pretty odd at that weight as i've got a larger frame than probably most dudes that are 5'6". i figure i'll be fine at 165lbs. we'll see.

i totally know what you mean...im overweight, but ive seen some BMI charts saying i should weigh 185. could you even picture what i would look like at 185???? ridiculous. those charts dont take general frame size into account at all.

ever seen footage from the late '60s concerts, like woodstock? all sorts of super skinny dudes without shirts. provides a sense of just how overweight our sense of "normal" has drifted over the years. last fall I dropped 25 lbs for awhile - which put me at about 175, I'm a solidly-built 5'10" (back up to 180-185 now, but holding alright). According to BMI I should be closer to 165... but really, my family expressed a lot of worry about me wasting away when I was still 10 pounds overweight by any objective measure... ha!

those dudes in the old days were like jaguars. most guys these days are like panda bears. I think I'm going back on my diet, getting my lazy bum back on the workout schedule.

that is some shaky ass logic...if you want to go like that then how about looking at some specimens that arent a bunch of gangly underfed hippy assholes?

I must have had what amounted to nearly a motherfucking pound of salad for lunch today ($2.49 managers special from Frys!), but I am just about ready to go for some weekend food...

"But you had to get the BIIIIIG SALAD."
