it's been a whole 11 days since i've had a drop of alcohol. that's easily a record over the past decade. i have to admit that a lot of it is me being afraid of a gout attack as opposed to just being "good."

back to 1 day of no alcohol. ha ha.. didn't go crazy though. so all's good.

I am thinking that now that I repaired my computer with only a little help from someone else (thanks bunnyeyes) that I can do anything.

I am now ready to start recording again! Which means I'll likely start the pre-production thinking necessary to start the radio show/podcast I've been dreaming up.

Today I am pondering why I even bother conversing with some of my coworkers:

Coworker: Have you read the new Bill O'Reilly book? I couldn't put it down, it was that good.
Me: No.
Coworker: Typical liberal excuse. You talk about how everyone has the right to say what they want to say, but you refuse to hear someone else's point of view. If it's not something you agree with, you have no interest in hearing it. Do you understand how hypocritical you are being by doing that?
Me: How did you get all of that out of "no"?

Lately I've been considering finding a new job. I dunno. I don't really like my job right now, it bores the hell out of me but it is steady, good paying, and has decent benefits. It is a safe job for the most part. I don't really know if I am meant to continue working in this field, but I spent 5 years in college to get here so I am super afraid/unsure to abandon all that. But I had an epiphany last night: the work I am doing is a mere fraction of what I learned in school and just a fraction of my skills anyways. So what do I care?

Now to figure out what the hell I want to do with my life...

Awesome! If this is the case, my internet connectivity problems at home may be at an end!

I can get wifi through a couple of networks in my area on the ipod touch, but it is weak.

I had a friend over recently that logged her computer on through wifi no prob in the middle of my house.

Now to determine what is the right one for an imac g5 17" from 2004... and how much it is.
