I have been a Star Trek fan my entire life. I went to my first convention when i was seven (i think), got to meet scotty! I am also a big Star Wars fan, but i have pretty much wrote off the prequels. I couldnt buy that Hayden dude as Anakin, he was just a whiny bitch. I am pretty George Lucas and some kind mental retardation because he seems to forget the original movies were finished and did not need a "special edition" treatment. All you truly need is the original and empire, and return of the jedi, minus the ewoks. How can a storm trooper die by getting hit in the head by an ewok when he's wearing a helmet? You cant really judge the two because theyre really not the same type of movie. Star Wars is more of a fantasy franchise than anything set in a "futuristic" setting. Star Trek is straight up science fiction.
But as far as star trek goes, im looking forward to the movie and hope they can do the franchise justice and not just make a big dumb action movie, and from what ive been reading, they have not. But ill be there opening night for sure.
