do you suppose he's sitting with his friends having the same conversation about you?
"yeah man, she seems cool, but there's a couple of red flags... she just had her first drink of alcohol EVER a couple months ago and she solicits the opinions of random people on an internet message board."
I always think I can help everyone.... like I can help people get refocused and be successful. Is that lame???
Yes. That is lame. Actually, not lame, just misguided. You can't change a guy. He may change on his own, but you can't change him. And you can't save a guy, either. No changing, no saving. Get with a guy that you already like the vast majority of stuff about him...don't "see his potential" and try to make him be something else.

no!
you want to be with someone that loves and respects who you are and is willing to stand by you while you work on your own changes in your own way (and vice versa), not someone who needs a woman to take care of him.
like fatguy said: don't fall in love with the potential of someone.
because you are falling in love with an image, a made up concept, a very bad bet, a trap. You are not falling in love with a human being.
If you fall in love with an image in your head, then you'll really be alone.

Seeing this on a dude's body would raise a red flag for me. But that's just my opinion. I've had poor luck with Star Wars fans.

Ummmmm turned out to be a douche bag.
Everything was going great! I mean... he introduced me to the family, we were having sleepovers, we were planning a roadtrip, he kept telling me how much he liked me and how special i was etc. etc.
WELL...
I was at Adult swim when a friend of mine (who was dating his brother) informed me that he had ANOTHER girl sleeping over the other night. Hmmmmmmm So i was a little upset over that because we had discussed that i wasnt dating anyone else and neither was he. I tried calling him but he didnt answer. I text him asking how his day was... no answer. Then at 3 FUCKING AM I get a phone call... i am a little out of it but answer and um... he must have pocket dialed me and for 20 FUCKING minutes I heard him out with ANOTHER girl. Yeah, it was horrible. They were sweet talking eachother and telling eachother how much they liked eachother... it was the worst feeling i have EVER had. I hung up after 20 minutes, i am sure it would have gone all night but i was going fucking nuts.
THEN the next morning some of my friends called to inform me they saw him with another girl at Cheers and he was all over her. My friend approached him and he looked shocked. She said "How is ASHLEY?!?!?" right in front of the girl he was with. Pretty awesome. But he is FUCKING retarded. I have friends all over this fucking town... and they are looking out for me. What an idiot.
So the lesson is... i hate guys. For now. But i like dick too much to be a lesbian. its a real problem.
thanks for listening. feels good to get it out.

Bartenders are surrounded by drunk (and thus very impressionable) young girls every day at work, and many are completely unafraid to hit on him.
Adultery kinda goes with the job description.
There are exceptions, obviously, but that's kinda the trend.
