I dated a really fun and cute guy off the cupid when I moved here to LA. Showed me some cool places, bars, etc. We went out a bit and eventually it didn't work out. We just didn't mesh, but no major issues. Overall a really positive experience....got my feet wet in the whole dating scene here. However, I soon after met my bf from a friend of a friend. Had I not gotten involved with him a year ago I probably would have remained active on the cupid. It was fun and a good way to meet folks as a newcomer into town.

Anyway, one of the guys from Bishop Allen had a hand in starting the cupid and I really like that band!

I keep almost rejoining OkCupid.
But then I remember how crappy my matches are in this town.
The highest was 56% and I see him almost everyday and it scared the hell out of me that he saw me "stalking" him on there. He winked at me for two weeks after that.
So, if I ever move to one of those BIG cities, I might get back on the dating site horse.
Meanwhile, being single allows me to bake cookies and make fudge and not have to share.

Have you answered thousands of questions? It's otherwise fairly impossible to get a match above 70%. And this is the nation's fifth largest city, so perhaps you mean a city with people who'd match you better. Which strategy I totes understand. Good luck!
