Why am I wasting my time with these responses . I need to be doing something reproductive.

aren't you a little young to be doing something reproductive?? remember to wear protection. we have enough comedians on the circuit...

All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

hi. i heard about this shizz.org thing somewhere and wanted to check it out. i looked at a few threads before i got to this one. i was kind of excited to see a debate on the 'is rock dead' issue. (alot of people wonder that anymore) it seemed interesting at first, but what i'm reading here now is pathetic. whoever it is that started this whole thing seemed to set the tone for a discussion but then got condescending (or was it supposed to be funny?) then tried to make points for arguements sake again. then after reading more, all i could see was a bunch of whiny crybabies who want everyone to agree with them adn call them names when they don't. have any of you ever heard of arguing a point eloquently? doesn't look like it. and if you call someone a fascist for not believing what you believe (and you want them to believe it) doesn't that make you a fascist too? i saw some okay points along the way. i'll say that. but i've been to that place modified and i've never seen a line to get in. people standing around outside smoking cigarettes and looking bored doesnt' make it a 'line'. i think it's good that there is a place like that and that people go to it, but i don't think you should make it sound like there is a 'big undrgound movement' that keeps it packed all the time. maybe it is sometimes but i haven't seen anything like that.
there was another thing about not taking someone seriously if theyre anonymous. why not? opinions are opinions and that's all they are. like them or hate them, everyone has them. you know what they say about opinions. i'd probably tell that bloody hands person to shut up sometimes too but for every dick thing that person said, there were alot of dick responses. noone wants to see a differnt point of view even if they don't like or agree with it. that is sad. maybe noone here even knows what their point is or only knows enough to say a little bit about it because most of this sad thread seems to be people calling each other idiot, fascist, and intentional irritation by repeating the phrase 'rock is dead', not actually giving too much of an opinion. (i have seen a few good takes on it here mostly from people who dont get caught up in the name calling crap) if you feel that strongly that rock is or isn't dead, why don't you use your energy to make a valid point instead bitching at people for anonymity and accusing them of liking shitty sitcoms. who cares? i don't think this is interesting to anyone except the people who are part of what is apparantly your own little clique. that makes you all seem like elitist assholes.
is rock dead? if you are the people who are supposed to keep it alive, it's not dead, but it's obviously on life support.

the difference is that i said it makes you'SEEM' like an elitist. how do i know if you are or are not? i didn't say that's what you are flat out the same way others here called people names and things just for disagreeing. see? i can only go by what i read here and what it 'seems' to be like. that gives other people (like you, for example)the opportunity to prove that statement wrong or right. i made an observation but am willing to give the benefit of the doubt.
also, i'm glad there have been shows with lines cause i bet that's how a place like that can stay open. but i didn't say it never happened. i said maybe it has, but that i haven't seen it. better 3 shows with lines than none, i guess.

why? what is happening then? if it's gonna play into the whole 'rock is alive' aspect that this thread was supposed to be about, i might go there. if it has to do with all this other stuff i've seen here, i'll pass.
