My over the top video game addiction and pathetically high gamerscore is all part of gods divine plan.
Back the fuck off.
Don't start talking about JRPGs or I'm out of here!
I think it's interesting how the people who struggle more financially are more likely to believe their life is determined by fate and an imaginary pal who has plans for them. I guess that's the whole point of religion in the first place though. Keep the people with shitty low-paying jobs content and not asking questions.

God exists because you believe it does. You would have no topic here if that were not true.
i'm assuming you mean "you" as in people in general because i certainly don't believe in a god. and not in any of the forms you've described either. i'd like to. it's a lot more romantic. and when someone died and someone says, "he's in a better place now," i'd like to believe that. it's better than thinking, "no. your dad's in the dirt. for good. that's all. nothing else." so i'm assuming you mean that "people in general" kind of "you" because i don't have to believe to post in a topic about it. i could just as easily start a thread about santa claus or the easter bunny. or that dude from the diet dr pepper commercials.

Religion itself is the problem here. humans have been treated like idiots by so many different religions that the only accurate statement anyone can make is "I really don't know." I love it when atheists and agnostics screw up their freedom *from* religion, by being religious about it. I mean as disgusting as it is to have Christianity crammed down your throat, how about the people that are so sure there's nothing more, that they get all "prove it" because they have used the atheist tag so long that it has become a big part of their identity. Death and what happens after is the primary concern here, if you go in the dirt and thats it, you have that experience in common with the 87 billion people who have done that before you, by numbers your death is trivial, but it's gonna be a really big deal to you. So we have our own personal faith, even if our faith is that there is nothing out there, to help us begin to deal with the eventual stop of our current existence. If you get fired or sick and a friend comes over out of the blue to check on you, what is that? Humanity? Feel like your girl is cheating on you, you check her cell phone and wow she is? Is that magic? Ok.God exists because you believe it does. You would have no topic here if that were not true.
