anyway, here are my predictions:

South Africa vs Mexico = Mexico

Uruguay vs France = Uruguay by a hair

S. Korea vs Greece = S Korea

Argentina vs Nigeria = ARGENTINA!

England vs USA = this is gonna be a close game i think. probably a draw

if you guys think soccer's too pansy for you? does football have too many pauses to choose plays and whatever? watch rugby, football with soccer rules, they play for 45 minutes straight, no commercials, no stopping to choose plays and best of all; NO PADS!

England vs USA = this is gonna be a close game i think. probably a draw

Typically the US has a strong game, a weak game, and then a so so game (in that order). So if they have any shot at beating England, it will be in that first group match. That being said, I don't think they will do it. While Dempsey and Donovan can get the ball to up top, the rest of the midfield is a missing some much needed depth. As for defense, Bocanegra is an alright defender, and I don't get the fascination with Onyewu. He's big. But that's pretty much all he has going for him. Not to mention he's coming off a knee injury. Cherundolo is the real workhorse of the defense (not to mention a grossly underestimated player). The one thing they have going for them is that England typically doesn't play well as a team. Individually, I'd argue that they always have one of the most talented teams in the world. But for some odd reason, they just never pull it together as a team.

come on jacki, get your mind out of the gutter! lol. uruguay is not a bad team, france has some pretty damn good history but lately they've been slacking, how do you think they got into the tournament? henry handball. they've been shite lately.

england has one of the best squads EVER. but they dont know how to play with each other. USA has a decent squad and we could do some damage to the brits but i feel like we rely too much on donovan. we'll see.
