one thing good about the Quayle nomination is: seriously, are people going to vote for this ass, he barely won over the republicans, the DEM's need to attack, full frontal assualt this clown and win over the swing voters and take District 3. if you live in this district, get on it!
Yeah, if the Dems can't figure out how to beat a weak, inexperienced, flawed candidate that only pulled in 23% of the Rep vote... they should just quit. I know that it's a tough district for Dems, but still.
So many Reps are soooo dumb, though, this Quayle is just the sort of idiot hypocrite that they love. Shoot who knows anymore.

what happens if the State Attorney General has to step down? the gov appoints?
I am thinking, Thomas wins, Feds get him, Goddard has won the Gov. at this point, and he appoints some one...does it work like that? Pipedream, too many intangables...Fuck em all? yea, fuck em' all
Right now Horne is still ahead of Thomas by just under 500 votes, even if the last few parts of Maricopa throw their votes towards Thomas odds are he still won't win the general. That primary has been so nasty that I doubt either candidate will offer an endorsement of the other for the general election. That combined with independents being turned off from their primary fight will probably throw the election to Rotellini. But to answer your question, I'm about 90% sure the governor appoints a replacement to fill out the term if a vacancy occurs.
