watched this last night:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1274725/
it was cheesy at times (the first 10 minutes), but he got good interviews and the animation was really cool and the music's good (which can make up for a lot) and despite staying regionally midwest and east coast, sums up the situation really well. he makes all the right historical points, got some good footage of ol' lars looking like a dipshit, (to chuck d, which is awesome) and glenn branca is hilarious as always.
it's on instant watch here:

PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARENT SUGGESTING I DRIVE TO TUCSON FOR A RECORD STORE
and saying theres a lot of record stores is true, but i have never seen a HATRED SURGE or IRON LUNG (for example) record in another store come in new. for some of us, Eastside is the last place that even carries the music we like
toxic ranch still sputters on as far as i know.
thats just not going to happen
so it goes. i do it several times a year. tucson's got the best thrift stores too. see, i live in phoenix's northernmost suburb. it's called flagstaff. so a two hour drive to nicely priced vinyl has been my reality for quite some time now. you get used to it.
I go to eastside multiple times a week. Buying records is a huge reason, but also flyering for shows, checking flyers of upcoming shows, see what new stuff is coming out, etc. Driving to tucson is definitely not an option.
Without eastside, i imagine that Revolver will start carrying more new punk / hc stuff. They should at least, and take over that niche. They already started carrying more new hc / punk stuff. Not as much as eastside, but I've seen new gism boots, maybe even a hatred surge record and thats new, not used. Still super shitty, it was THE place to get flyers for punk / hardcore / noise shows
