I would advocate handling them in the manner that the San Diego ComiCon did, when they decided to protest last year.

brewer approved budget cuts to the state's Dept. of Health for mental-illness care last July

The cuts that take effect July 1 include:

• Case management. People with mental illnesses will lose access to case managers who help to coordinate their care among medical doctors, psychiatrists and the rest of their team. Case managers check in with patients regularly to help them navigate the often confusing mental-health bureaucracy.

• Medication. Only generic medications will be available, a cause of concern for people such as Ferry who rely on a name-brand medication to treat their symptoms effectively.

• Transportation. Clients no longer will be given rides to and from appointments with their doctors.

• Housing. The state will no longer subsidize housing for those who are not Medicaid-eligible. The state says people who are in housing will be allowed to stay there until a "safe and appropriate" alternative is found, although officials may eventually set a date for eviction if funding runs out.

Earlier this month, a group of people with mental illnesses gathered in Avondale to learn about the cuts. As the clients of the Stand Together and Recover clinic heard the news, they slumped in their chairs.

if wbc protests, i predict one of the following:
a - somebody from wbc gets shot
b - somebody protesting the wbc protests gets shot
c - the pima county sheriff gets fired because he ignores the wbc's constitutional right to act like shitheads and decides to detain them to preserve the dignity of the funeral (i wouldn't put it past him, and he'd be a national hero if he did it)
d - both a and b
e - all of the above
