nope. it's not nostalgia. this album is better than anything he's done in the last 10 years. sorry.

it's also one of my favorite albums from the last 20 years.

it also affirms that his current albums are pandering crap.

i guess I'll don my pearl jam "ten" shirt now, since i'm clearly living in the past.

in my opinion, if he would have made the fragile a single disc, it would have been a pretty damn good follow-up to downward spiral. that's assuming he picked all the songs i like for the single disc. after that, i've slowly become less and less excited for new material.
