Really liking this one.

Nice my cousin just hooked me up with a bunch of Dr. Dog, been meaning to give it a listen.

Got some new records in the mail yesterday:
Tortoise - Beacons of Ancestorship
only skimmed through it and then listened as i tried to fall asleep. seems pretty good. much different than their other albums. some of it is really synthy ala "Monika" from Standards. some of it is really simple like their first album.

You may already know about this, but just in case you don't, Local Support is a pretty sweet podcast by some Jon Solomon dude that covers all sorts of music local to Philly/New Jersey/Delaware area. I haven't been as diligent with keeping up with it as I would like, but I've gotten some pretty good recommendations from them in the past.

Also, even though they're no longer together, The Teeth (Daytrotter Sessions 1 & 2) from Philly are pretty rad too (a different kind of rad than Dr. Dog). In fact, I think I'll listen to some now...

Agreed, i do this at least 2 or 3 times a week
same concept applies for sabbath (ozzy only)
