bush, nader, kerry
they are only given four to eight years
and then it will cycle again
someone will come along and destroy everything
the previous president did, didn't do, etc etc etc....
it will not end..........it will not change unless the system as we know it is destroyed

ps----what is so great about nader?

just curious.....
i want to hear nader supporters give reasons for his "greatness"

um, why wouldn't they just back  Bush?
the Republicans didn't "f" it up for us last time, we did.  The division in our own party, however we have a right to follow what we think is right, but sometimes one has to look at the big picture, and as far as the 'message' that Nader voters wanted to send, I ask them, now, was it really worth it?

um, i voted for nader and
i didn't have any other 'message'
to send other than i wanted nader
to be president. blaming bush in office
on nader voters is incorrect.

Thank you Burke, those would be my words exactly. I voted for Nader last time and I'll vote for him again since he is my top candidate. Other than that I would have written in Burke.

I like the counterpoint, debate is great, and what this country is all about, and I appreciate hearing such a thoughtful, articulate, and passionate expression.

And no, I don't think my life will be considerably better with Kerry, but I'm hoping for better foreign policy. I know I'll be a lot less flustered after presidential speeches. I'd be interested to know how much different things would be if Gore had been elected. We just don't really know. Maybe not much different. Hard saying not knowing.

that does not give me the reasons why YOU support nader

and you explain your reason with very very simplistic logic
which would be perfectly exceptable if this fucking circus was that black and white
but it is not that black and white

no offense at all, to anyone, but i just don't see how simple logic applies
it runs alot deeper then just liking nader....it's a bit more complicated then that

mind you-----i voted for nader last time

well, by my link i had meant
to say that i agree with nader
on his stance on the issues
more than i agree with any other
candidate...is that enough to know
why i support him?

i don't know what simple logic
you are referring to, though...

if you are referring to my longer
post in this thread, yes, it's simple
logic. it's logical. let's hear some
other logical responses about this.

I was just down for green party because Jello Biafra is, supposedly.

I heard he wanted to push for some legislation to erradicate all SUVs.

that's why I went green.

plus, nader is intelligent. After bush, we could all use a president that can speak intelligently.

i don't think nader has a chance
of winning the upcoming election
and i'm still going to vote for him.
why? because i think he'd made or make
a better president than the other candidates.

that's what i was referring to

i just feel that it might be more complicated of an election
then just voting for someone on principal.......

but that's my point...you shouldn't
vote for someone based on principal...
you should vote for who you think will
be the best president. the whole point
of my posts have been to say "don't
vote on principal".

just because i know that nader doesn't
have a shot of winning the election means
i am voting on principal. the point of an
election and voting is to vote for who you
want the next president to be.

now, voting for kerry instead of nader
just to ensure that bush leaves office -
that is voting on principal.

(mind you this is a friendly debate)

but don't you think that maybe you are voting on principal

the principal of voting for who you think should be president

i know it sound ridiculous to argue such a inherently correct notion

but like i said, this election is alot more complicated then that.....

my focus right now is the immediate(getting bush out)
once that is done-----then i will focus more on the long term----changing our two party system

in a presidential election, voting for your presidential choice is not voting on principal.

voting for the next best thing just to get the current president out is voting on principal.

rudolpho of pensacola, what you need to understand more than anything else is that YOUR VOTE DOES COUNT. I felt sad when you sait it didn't count and that you felt like you wasted your vote 4 years ago. It won't matter why you choose who you vote for until you know that your vote DOES count, no matter what.
