Supposedly there's gonna be a debate at ASU...but Bush hasn't confirmed and might not show up. He doesn't like debating, he's no good at it.

Obviously.

It's funny to read the opinions here and then look at this.

Was everybody watching the same debate?

You know what occurred to me last night? I was watching a Bill Maher comedy special later in the evening and he was talking about how after 9/11 everybody was saying "Wow, thank goodness Bush got elected, can you imagine how poorly Gore would have handled the aftermath of the terrorist attacks?" I started thinking, if we had elected Gore, would there have even been terrorist attacks? Well, I mean, we elected him, but I'm talking about if he had actually become president.

I think so. There were those attacks on the USS Cole and on US embassies while Clinton was still in office. However, I think if Gore was in office, he wouldn't have taken 23 days vacation in August 2001, and he probably would have been at the White House instead of at a photo op in Florida, so he probably would have been more well informed and perhaps could have done more immediately after, if not during the attacks. But that's all speculation, obviously.

I heard part of the debate on NPR lastnight, I was AMAZED at the debate.
I have a HELL of a lot more respect for Kerry before lastnight.

Kerry quoted George Bush's Dad on why he didn't invade Iraq, and made
junior look like an ass. it was definitely a debate that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Chromelodeon manages to get all the furniture from their hotel into the lake a few years back...and people are worried about shizzies?

i missed it, i was at my show... but you cant really even call it a "debate" its so watered down, its just an exchange of soundbites.

and donald.. you said "I have a HELL of a lot more respect for Kerry before lastnight." what exactly does that mean?

BUSTICLES tuned in to the debate during band practice, and haven't laughed harder, as a group, in a while. We especially liked the 10 second pauses that W made, making us feel uncomforatble, even embarrased for that F$CK! I must say that Kerry presents himself in a way that makes bush look like a snotty, bratty child...Oh wait...he is! :D

well, i saw the replay, and kerry really made things clear. bush was trying to remember everything his advisors told him, and all the beer and coke from back in the day really messed him up. so remember all you rich kids, dont do drugs. you might need that brain when your the leader of the free world....

I was thinking the exact same thing. I get the impression Bush lives in an information vacuum and he just pontificates the party line as is given to him each morning. It's like he gets up and says "Okay rich white people, What do I believe in today?"

harumph...
