#1068840 Currently Thinking........

Posted by thundertortoise on 04 August 2011 - 03:35 PM

A WINRAR IS YOU!

Also, my no processed food diet goes the wayside whenever there is free Papa John's pizza at work. Yeah yeah I know, white bread, processed food, corn syrup, all those bad things, etc. MMM 3 slices of delicious devil pizza.

As my quasi-hippie father might say: Son, I am disappoint.

*********

ALSO wtf?! I don't <3 Justin Bieber. All those foxy chicks with short haircuts that vaguely resemble him though...

shut up you were thinking it too.

#1004904 What's so great about Phoenix, anyway?

Posted by thundertortoise on 02 February 2011 - 02:32 AM

Phoenix is GREAT! But so are other places. Just effing DO it! I mean, if you want to.

Pros:

- The weather. Everyone has mentioned all the basic pros/cons. Lack of major natural disasters is always good though. .
- Because of the weather. . lots of datacenters and call centers. Tech stuff if you're looking for it
- There's always telemarketing! haha. no but really. .
- good eats once you find them
- ALL THE ANIMALS AND PLANTS AND GEOLOGY IN THE DESERT! AMAZING STUFF!!! AHHHHGUHHHHHH!!!!!!!
- the cultural "second layer" . . . It's there, just gotta look for it and don't fall for lame generalizations. If you went to a bunch of shows for a little while you'd learn where all the cool stuff is pretty quickly, plus you already have some friends here
- If you like gardening there's a realllly long growing season

Cons:

- easy to fall into a rut, whether it be broke downtown person, complacent suburbian person, party-addled person. . . etc.
- people look at you weird if you say "Good morning" or the like on the street most of the time
- people get effing CRAZY when it's hot outside
- local political whackos

That's my $.02. Visit. If it blows go somewhere else, no big. ;)

#987963 shizz > facebook

Posted by thundertortoise on 23 December 2010 - 04:19 AM

fine fine.

but it's doubtful that facebook people are as devoted to facebook as shizz people are devoted to el shizz.

10 year party to the most maximum extreme!

i know i'm kinda new to the posting part, but I've been reading crap that you guys post since 2007 and it has always been dope. that police person from san francisco thread is awesome. i was kinda surprised to realize that people from all over use the shizz. are all of them people that used to live in phoenix then moved away?

#987545 shizz > facebook

just wanted to state how much more dope the shizz is than facebook. mostly because you can have interesting conversations with people who share similar interests rather than little chit chat with people you used to know in high school/previous lives on eff book. they each have their kudos i guess.

#986494 getting older and stuff

Posted by thundertortoise on 19 December 2010 - 02:41 PM

So I'm not really that old and a bunch of people here will probably tell me to STFU but going from 22 to 23 soon is strange journey of being annoyed with high school age people and thinking that older people (and similarly-aged people)are wasting their lives if all they do is go to work 9-5 which is probably a reflection on my own use of life so far.

So anyway, getting older is weird. If you know how to do it would you be so kind to drop some words of wisdom? Awsum possum.

Going to Patagonia in 2011. Social mores may be damned.
