I'm trying to decide what beer to brew next. My first thought was to continue the Chimay theme and do a white. I googled for a recipe and could only find an all grain recipe that called for aging of 6 months (!).

My next best idea was to do a Grant's Mandarin Hefeweizen since we can't get them in MA. Unfortunately I'm not turning up a recipe for that either. In fact, all I found was a few beer snobs complaining that the flavor is too light.

Any leads on recipes for either of those 2? Any other suggestions? I want to do something reasonably light and summery. High alcohol content is a plus. Something that is hard to find or expensive in MA would be ideal. I also don't want to do anything too hoppy. Other than that, I'm open to suggestions.

I found one recipe for that brew, but it's an all-grain recipe. I would suggest brewing a basic hefe recipe and then adding Mandarin Orange extract before bottling. That should get you what you're looking for.

EDIT: Actually if you really wanted to make this beer, it'd be pretty easy to convert it into dry malt extract.

Well, I'll need to borrow your 5 gallon kettle and one of your carboys, of course...

Okay, Ben!

I think John may be working on taking the role of "miniboss who can't play that show cause of a wedding" from Ben.

...at least according to Ben.

I meant that I was shocked that they haven't replied yet.

C'mon MFer's, quit working and get back over here to the friendly internets.

We did an orange hefe, but it didn't turn out that well.

And the weddings are over, fuckers.
