thank you bob! I apologize if I come off as rude and arrogant and disrespectful to my elder musician-counterparts! I do respect what each and everyone one of you do. If you think I am crazy, I understand, but in retrospect, I know how good all of you really are. I know how much I can learn from all of you...that is why we play music and build from one another, no. My boss at work one time told me I need to learn to get my emotions in check...I believe he is right, for I definitely let things under my skin that I should not have. I never meant to offend anyone with this post, I was just making a statement and trying to stimulate some intellectual and passionate on-line conversation, you know do my research and gather some opinions about the topic. Perhaps find out who is interested and who is not. I know everyone, or most of us, bust thier butss, and I know there is no ass-kissing necessary to play anywhere...it is about playing good music. I just want this commuinty to be going in a more solid direction. And I am not interested in credit, that does not matter, what I am interested in a vision, a stronger commuinty with more public events in more public places. Give exposure to all the hard working artists and musicians, while alos getting the "uniformed" public involved. I want this as bad as any of you, but I do not wish to make enemies. Granted I am sure that I have, that's life in the big city. I just want us to work together, have commuinty meetings, plan big events...put Phoenix on the map. That is what i am interested in, giving our future children a chance to express themselves. I apologize to Ms. Barton from the Modified, I don't mean to direct any negative comments in anyone's direction, but I guess you could blame it on my lack of maturity and very bi-polar brain. I am not making excuses, I am saying sorry b/c that is what we were taught since we were little to do when hurting another's feelings. However, I cannot erase my words...so that is life. BUt please realize that I wish to move this forward, and I come to the Shizz b/c you are a group of established bands...a group I look to for help. If you are interested, you know where to get me at here! I wish all of you a nice day and even greater lifetime. Life is ours for the taking, we should use it to the best of our abilities, not waste our precious time and talents while we still are physically on this earth.

a self-righteous newbie popped onto the shizz to inspire shizzites worldwide but especially in phoenix to have not only music in their shows but also art booths no nukes bumper stickers and fried dough and whilst pontificating on love and untiy said newbie spewed hate venom and insults at just about everybody including modified and then the shitstorm started with at first tolerant responses from old school phoenix scenesters and musicians who have either already been part of or tried to start a scene remember the sun club but not a clique and that it creates itself and you can't create it especially through insults amid homoerotic ping pong between brodie and hfe and then the dreadlocked conspriator was outed playing a bar-b-q and apologized to all for being bi-polar

See. now I totally disagree....

Awful, all of them.

Except for the ones that my friends are in, those bands are so awesome....

I enjoy Blackfeet, but I'm not sure I can say that now that I'm playing some drums for them....

They are playing tonight with the Fruit Bats at Modified...

They/we were OFFERED the show....

You seem to be implying that all these bands are my friends...
Tsk, tsk... Honestly, I don't know most of them at all.
I'm that kid that hides in the back and doesn't draw any attention to himself, nor grease the palms/kiss ass for ANY band...
I just try to support the ones I like by showing up (a novel idea!) and stay away from talking shit... i've found that those who do generally want their band to be the constant focus of attention. (and I don't even play music!)
And honestly, I really like your band(s), but not your pompous attitude!
That's killing me.
You may have lost one of those unimportant, musically ignorant "kids" who attend your shows (hiding in the back)
(I've seen half a dozen at least!)
