don't feel that someone owes you something because you post your glamour shots all over your website and 5 subsequent blogs and wrote a few songs about the trouble you've encountered in your pathetic 27 years. Try writing some good (honest) music instead of trying to convince everybody that people do think you're cool. Most people want to be entertained instead of seeing some high functioning retard play bar chords with his thumb and whine about how bad he has it.

I assume you're talking about the guy who started the thread. Really harsh comments and a lot of negative energy. You just kind of seem like a downer. I'm glad you know Greg personally as well, maybe now you can tell me who you are. Perhaps we know each other ... I just doubt that you would be saying any of these things to any of us in person. No hard feelings ... although your posts are eloquent and everything, your spiteful tone seems really misplaced.

"when I get that feeling, i want sexual healing."
perhaps some tension is building up... you probably know one another, don't be afraid! ;)

seriously, i agree with donny. who are you to talk shit on brodie (or anyone)?
that's totally elitist!
if you're so 'supportive of art,' why do you criticize 'artists?'
i'm GLAD you don't live here!

an ideal music scene to me would involve: good people, some good bands, the fostering of personal growth/improvement, and lots of fun.
i don't need to move to Los Angeles or New York for that. i don't need Phoenix to change to do that.

if you're frustrated because what you want to get out of the music scene is a sweet record deal with Capitol or hundreds of dudes flocking to your shows then i guess Phoenix maybe isnt the right place for you. and i'm totally ok with that.

just look up that article 5 months back (aprox) in New Times, you'll see the one damn well written article that proclaims my own Native view on the subject. I bitched and moaned about Phx for yrs...I think Robin has heard me the most out of anyone....bitch, bitch, bitch about phx. I grew out of it...thus, fucking grow out of it all you damn snarecodiles or move. I had to come to terms with it, why should any of you be different! =)

PS I hate Alf!

Help I'm a rock, help I'm a rock, help I'm a rock!
Ahahahahahahaaa
Help I'm a rock, help I'm a rock, help I'm a rock!
Somebody, please, please!
Help I'm a rock, help I'm a rock...
Wow man, it's a drag being a rock
Help I'm a rock...
I wish I was anything but a rock
Heck, I'd even like to be a policeman
Hey, you know what, you know maybe if I practised, you know
Maybe if I passed my driving test
I could get a gig drivin' that bus and pick some freaks up
In front of Ben Franks, right!

Help I'm a cop, help I'm a cop, help I'm a cop!
(Help I'm a rock...), help I'm a cop, help I'm a cop!
It's a drag being a cop, I think I'd rather be the mayor
Always wondered what I was gonna be when I grew up, you know
Always wondered whether or not, whether or not I could make it,
You know, in society, because,
You know, it's a drag when you're rejected
So I tore the cover off a book of matches and I sent in
And I got this letter back that said, UHU, AHA

It can't happen here
It can't happen here
I'm telling you, my dear
That it can't happen here
Because I been checkin' it out, baby
I checked it out a couple a times, hmmmmmmmm
And I'm telling you
It can't happen here
Oh darling, it's important that you believe me
(Bop bop bop bop)
That it can't happen here

Who could imagine that they would freak out somewhere in Kansas...
Kansas Kansas tototototodo
Kansas Kansas tototototodo
Kansas Kansas
Who could imagine that they would freak out in Minnesota...
Mimimimimimimi Minnesota, Minnesota, Minnesota
Who could imagine...

Who could imagine
That they would freak out in Washington, D.C.
D.C. D.C. D.C. D.C. D.C.
It can't happen here
Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba
It can't happen here
It can't happen here
Everybody's safe and it can't happen here
No freaks for us
It can't happen here
Everybody's clean and it can't happen here
No, no, it won't happen here
I'm telling you it can't
It won't happen here
(Bop bop didi bop didi bop bop bop)
Plastic folks, you know
It won't happen here
You're safe, mama
You're safe, baby
You just cook a TV dinner
And you make it
(Bop bop bop)
No no no no
Oh, we're gonna get a TV dinner and cook it up
Go get a TV dinner and cook it up
Cook it up
Oh, and it won't happen here
(No no no no no no no no no no no
Man you guys are really safe
Everything's cool).
Who could imagine
Who could imagine
That they would freak out in the suburbs!

I remember (tu-tu)
I remember (tu-tu)
I remember (tu-tu)
They had a swimming pool
I remember (tu-tu)
I remember (tu-tu)
They had a swimming pool
I remember (tu-tu)
I remember (tu-tu)
They had a swimming pool.
And they thought it couldn't happen here
(duh duh duh duh duh)
They knew it couldn't happen here
They were so sure it couldn't happen here
But...

Suzie...
Yes yes yes--I've always felt that
Yes I agree man, it really makes it...yeah...
It's a real THING, man
And it really makes it
(Makes it)

Suzie, you just got to town,
And we've been, we've been very interested
In your development.
Forget it!
Hmmmmmmmmm
(It can't happen here)

I apologize if my opinions seem brazen. I am passionate about art, as many of you are.  just wanted to offer my two cents.

thanks... you were a big help. ;)
don't they have a "bored" where YOU live?

you're right, i actually didn't read through your post, i was busy high-fiving my friends cause our team won, and the "scene" rules!
in fact, i can barely read! and you're right, it's because i'm not getting laid enough. genius!

do you honestly think (especially as a native!) that i haven't heard the same, tired shit from a thousand people?
sorry to dissapoint you, but your statements earlier weren't exactly earth-shaking.
i do agree with some of your points, just not the pompous, elitist attitude you brought with them.
how 'bout we take your advice and just 'let it happen.'

and maybe you and i could go catch a ballgame together when you're back in town! ;)

high-five!
:)
