Conspire, across the way from Lost Leaf, serves coffee and tea, and has a limited menu of sandwiches and snacks.

Do you know if they are open early in the a.m.?
I might try it this week.

And The Trunk Space tried having normal coffee/gallery hours, but it didn't work out. Steph and JRC both have day jobs and they can't afford to hire anybody else.
I don't think we'll have anything quite like the willow house again in Phoenix for a while. Like Weener said, it was a place where you could go anytime and almost always run into someone you know. And as good as Lux and Conspire are, they'll never have the hangout quality that Willow did. It was like Cheers, or Moe's tavern. And no matter what time you were there, it always seemed like it was one in the morning.

Whenever I hear someone say "you got served" it makes me think of that southpark episode where they have that dance off.

-trunkspaceAll the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.
