Haha, I love that we are calling him Smokey. One article I read called him "Mandals". Faux-Locke would be good too (kind of like faux-hawk). I thought Jacob saying to Ben "What about you?" was like this god or jesus figure being all "you're not special, I do what I want don't question me" type of thing.

It was only after I saw Juliette down in that hole that I noticed she was wearing a red shirt.

Plus, it is weird that both Jack and Juliette are motivated by troubles with the opposite sex. It's like "I'll never get Kate back, lets blow this thing" and "Sawyer loves Kate, shucks, I might as well let go."

I've always called him Smokey. The smoke monster that is. So do some characters.

Esau and Jacob

Here's the thing with what Jacob said to Ben though. Ben has been fed this line of shit from Richard all these years about Jacob, his role in the island etc. and Ben now realizes/feels like its ben a lie so he asks about it and gets a"yeah, so?" Kind of a dick.

Part of me likes it a lot cause I think that's what you get for having blind faith in anything but in the context of the show...

yeah, again though, having blind faith about anything Richard told him was his choice. He seemed way to eager to please someone and be special since he got none of that from his father. They may have manipulated him due to that, but again, his choice. He never once asked, hey this is kind of effed I don't want to do this... and then the whole cancer thing and all of that. And he's just as guilty in the manipulating department. How many people did he hurt? Not an excuse at all.

I love this show.

Ok, one more thing, sorry guys and gals. Ok, so what do you think Frank is a canidate for? And, Richard was building that ship in a bottle. Maybe Richard first came to the island on that ship Jacob sees in the beginning of the episode? I guess we will have to wait and see, sigh.

uhhh...best new character ever?

i think you're right, but i think richard's immortality(?) is a punishment for something he did when he showed up.

that ship was the Black Pearl, right? The washed up ship in the jungle that they found the dynamite on...

i hope so, otherwise it would require an even more convoluted storyline to explain another ship. i like that sometimes things on LOST are exactly how they seem.

i'm finally caught up on Lost and have read this thread.

maybe they'll use Frank as a vessel to bring John Locke back?!?!?!?

the whole switcharoo with john locke and the dude that hates Jacob was a fucking twist.

Also i am kinda annoyed that they are bringing back the love triangle between Kate, Jack and Sawyer.

I wanna know why walt gets to live his life w/o interference from the island now. Prize for not having his dad anymore? Why does Michael get to die and be left in peace?

Where is Claire!? Why does her kid get to stay off island?

I like erica's theory that Desmond's Charlie is baby Charlie.

b/c in real life, that kid is way older than he should be in the show's time-frame. damon and carlton basically said straight-out that they had to write him out.

so that's why there are no kids anymore... like in the beginning they had a ton of them on the island. (and babies are easy to replace)

I have no doubt that it will. I want 16 weeks of picking my brain up off the floor after its over. Tuesday is going to be both the happiest and saddest day...
