if it was Obama's daughter who was pregnant at 17, the Republicans would be having a field day.

I like this quote from Obama regarding the "issue":

"I think people's families are off-limits, and people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as governor or her potential performance as a vice president."

Foreign policy experience? How in the hell could that possibly matter? So your an expert at hanging out in France and Paraguay, not helpful when Syria ,Iran and Yemen decide to start trouble. I say we just force Biden Obama Palin and McCain to take the ASVAB or a legit IQ test and call it a year.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Palin's under unvestigation for unlawfull termination. She fired the public saftey comissioner because he wouldn't fire her sisters Ex-husband.
Sounds like a great person to give more power to.

Alaska is not a right to work state.....
I have read many articles on this, I'm just suprised that no one on here has mentioned it.

Prolly because this thread is mostly about McCain.

Here are link's to nes articles about the investigation into Palin:

huffington post
The Telegraph
CBS
MSNBC
The Washington Post

Though i do think that whole deal is super shady - and obvious - but it's not as big a deal as McCain's dealings with the Keating scandal:
The Keating Five

or all of this: from the skeleton closet

or Palin's earmarking which i posted a link to earlier in the thread.

Double Post Mofos!

interesting Time article on Palin's Alaskan political history

Looks like Palin's into banning books:
"Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. "She asked the library how she could go about banning books," he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. "The librarian was aghast." That woman, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving "full support" to the mayor."

Let's take a broad view. Many sources list Denmark with the highest rating of satisfaction amoungst their population, Denmark pays nearly 50% of their income to tax (which is true for us if you add sales tax to income tax, give or take legal obligations). Why are they very satisfied? They are a small and ancient group of people who have come to realize, that they ARE the government. All of 'em. They were conquerors back in the Viking days, they adopted neutrality during world war 2, they have seen every phase of greed and contentedness displayed by countries around them. They decided to drop out of the Empire building business, and cultivated their own back yard. The drugees have their own drugee parks, the hookers have their own block, the citizens pay for the less fortunate, and understand that they could move and not have to. They are in the smallest space, and they keep it clean, mind their own business, and closely monitor their own economy and relations with their neighbors. Wanna get satisfied with your nation? Learn how to Farm, Hunt, Sail, Teach or provide medical care and you will always be necessary. Watch your neighbor make millions as a douchebag scummy leach lawyer and you will really wonder if our system is doing what it was designed to do. Now we mostly elect douchebag lawyers to positions of leadership. We gonna keep that up?
