All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

I was interviewed by someone from KTAR. After he interviewed me he told me there were people he had interviewed that came out to phoenix from all over the country. I over heard a guy who came out from Virginia to be here.

Steph from Trunkspace was there and met someone from L.A. who came out for this as well.

There were thousands of people walking in the streets, it was amazing.

Paper Mache bobble head of Joe arpaio was awesome

Last night was an historical event to say the least.

Thanks to everyone who was there lastnight, it really was an awesome event. I am very proud to say I was a part of it

during the suns game they flashed over to cover it very briefly and one of the announcers metioned that there were about 3000 people in the march. seems low - i'm not sure how accurate his source was.

Emperors of Japan
Myspace

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

"Sharpton and Wilcox were wearing orange "Los Suns" jerseys bearing number 13, that of Steve Nash."

"Actor and activist Danny Glover appeared earlier Wednesday at a news conference with Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon to register his opposition to SB 1070. Glover also stated ' I am getting to old for this shit'. In a related story, the huge plumes of smoke drifting across the valley were those of an exploded house in which Glover was using the toilet."

one of my thoughts, being that Russel Pearce was previously Arpaio's head sheriff deputy, is that sb1070 was written to allow Arpaio the ability to do what he has been doing all along, which has been to overstep his duties as a county sheriff and take on federal responsibilities which he doesn't have the right (until it goes into effect july 29th)

This now gives arpaio more freedom and less of a hassle to turn arizona into a police state, and spend more taxpayer dollars on something that should be handled (although currently not very well) by the federal government.

hey nerds, am i doing this math correctly (math is power!):

70% of 500 people polled in the Rasmussen poll, support SB1070, that's 350 people.

350 people out of the documented 5,939,292 people that live here (according to az.gov) is 0.005%

less than 1%
is that right?

i still dont get how people can use that 70% and apply it to the whole state when that number seems to represent less than 1% of the state's population.
