Yeah, but you said all this shit about Leslie, and it's just not accurate. I'm not sure who you are or where you come from, I feel like maybe you don't know what you're talkin' 'bout. I've been here nearly 27 years, I think I know some shit, I've known a lot of people, and I've seen a lot go down. I think I'm qualified to say you're off base on this one.Why bash on anyone? I am not about bashing, but I will defend my ideas and thoughts when needed.

what else does she have to do besides run a venue? What are you doing beside running a venue???
which is a shitload of work? and allows for bands/films/dance/
pretty much any kind of art you can think of to thrive in an
artist friendly venue?
sorry man, you are just preaching to the choir here...
as someone mentioned before, a lot of people on here
have been doing their thing and trying to unite people
for years and years. if you want more unity, more participation,
more people basically - you need to reach out to the people
that just sit on their asses all day, the people that don't
EVER go to shows, the people that come home from work
and plop down on their couches and fall asleep.
it might have seemed better if you had split your
original post into two separate threads, one about
your wanting to unite, the other for the show, but
having them together, it just seems like a plug...
especially since you posted it in the shows and
stuff forum.

I couldn't agree with you more. That is my goal and my intention. And that is what I do. Bu that is the target and the main goal of all of this. I do make the effort to reach these people, and little by little, we are.

Time flies.
Your heart's in the right place, H. But, like Aaron said, you're preaching to the choir.
It's like a Cardinal busting into a Conclave and saying, "Holy Shit!! We need to pick a new Pope!!"
No shit.
But you can't give musicians shit for not going to shows. They're practicing, writing new songs,
saving money to go record, or they don't like your band. Either way, their busy.
Why don't more people go to shows? I don't know.
Why does a pouch of Karl Budding ham smell like a fart? I don't know.

But like Bob says, with none, the shizz wouldn't be as fun. And the shizz wouldn't be the shizz.
The world is a negative place. That is reflected here.
