Written, directed and produced by Richard Pryor, a semi-autobiographical account of his rise to fame and all of the subsequent consequences.
Complete with self-immolation.
I really dig it.
It's not like it's side-splitting or anything. It honestly reminds me of Kurt Vonnegut's storytelling style. It's just got this weird charm that keeps you enthralled.
I would call this mandatory viewing for any Richard Pryor fans.

i just watched 10 minutes of Sunset Tan. what a fucking waste of 10 minutes. i feel dirty. this is a real show. about a tanning. holy fuck. i think im going through a mid-life crisis. what ever happened to shows like the odd couple? or punky brewster......
but it's reality, bisbee. don't you want reality?
anyone else watch generation kill on sunday? i liked it, but i kept waiting for more something big to happen and it never did...

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

i caught the last half of it. i enjoyed it for the most part.
i'm hoping that the "something big" you're waiting for actually happens, and it includes the humvee driver who likes the word "retard" being bisemboweled and sodomized with his own entrails.
or at least something that will make it so i don't have to hear him speak anymore.
but yeah...i'm interested to see where they take the storyline.

NO. That show is awful. Probably worse than I Love Money.even more serious, has anyone been watching Wipeout? It is like Ninja Warrior, except without athletes or skill. I am not saying that makes it bad; it makes it awesome!

yeah i agree. it kept acting like it was going somewhere and then didn't. but i'll keep watching, maybe something will happen. i do like some of the character development though.

I think that was kind of the point of that episode. The initial invasion was a whole lot of nothing with everyone just rolling in without much resistance. I'm into the characters.

The Wire
Thank goodness I have to wait for netflix to send me each disc or I wouldn't get anything done for the next two weeks.
And when I am waiting, I've been in a real Newsradio groove.
