second - the diagram I've pushed so far does a great job of illustrating the 'social network' of the music scene. BUT it doesn't really provide any sense of time, nor active vs defunct projects.
Here's kind of what I was talking about on page 10 - it's a timeline of portable Mac computers:

Victory Acres - don't know what the hell Dan and Mary do anymore -
Joke Flower - a short-lived band featuring Dan and Mary Clark; Charlie Gocher (Sun City Girls) on drums -
Paris 1942 - another short-lived band featuring both Bishops (Sun City Girls) and early Velvet Underground drummer Maureen Tucker -

btw, I'm drunk, but I saw no Skinwalkers, Shane / Lonna / SLUGGER / Pollen / did see Before Braille which is quality, ever heard of Tramps and Thieves, Black Moods? This chart has got to have the range to include casual Shizzies as well, they don't all know they can type their name on the spreadsheet, yo.

If there is some sort of connection to Peachcake on here, then I can be on the diagram, because I was in a couple of bands with those dudes in high school. And then Meatwhistle can be on the chart!
Peachcake is connected to Osama Bin Sars, which is connected to Landmine Marathon

This is The Shizz.
Chromelodeon manages to get all the furniture from their hotel into the lake a few years back...and people are worried about shizzies?

One way of measuring 'relatability' per fatguyaz.
Basically, it counts the number of times a node occurs between two other nodes. By this measure, aaron b and a couple bands he's been involved with are the 'center' of the network.
Alternately, if you use "degree" to measure centrality, (which is related to the # of bands on your personal list), robin v, matt m, and jeremy a are the top tier.
see below :-)

One idea about organizing it, could we set the date bands played their first show, and then maybe branch off those somehow, or have a couple different acts intersect?
I think a straight up "tree style" would be visually dull, but the way it is coming together right now looks awesome.
BTW: Stefan from Peachcake was in a short lived band (really great metal) called "Drawing Down the Sun" with Greg Colsen (?spelling?) who later evolved into a couple of different project (names anyone, anyone?).
There could be a connection there if need be.

So, through Peachcake we can add Enemy of Society, a bad I was in with Stefan, and then Meatwhistle can be added. Also, Eric Dahl, who is currently in Sonorous, used to drum for Meatwhistle. He also used to be in Liar's Club and The Generiks.
There was the drummer before TenderLad, I think his name was Scott who also played in Graves at Sea
