Liars ~ Liars
...
I got both of these albums last week.
Both are from artists that I love.
Neither sound how I expected.
I still love em both.
I have never liked the Liars until this album. I might have to re-examine their old stuff now.

Just a warning: they're all over the place from album to album.
Wolves In the Throne Room ~ Diadem of 12 Stars
Wolves In the Throne Room ~ Two Hunters
Saw them open for Jesu a couple weekends ago. I've been listening to these two albums pretty close to nonstop since then, and it's kinda rekindled my interest in that really bleak, depressing brand of black metal, even though they're neither bleak nor depressing.

Was that at Casa Blanca? I saw some pics on the cnj page and was all "wtf? Wolves in the Throne Room? Aren't they from Portland? It must've been in 04' I saw them play at the Tribe house with Bodhisattva, I remember thinking that was an awesome band name and digging their style. I'd like to hear some of their new stuff....
