right in a row are kinda funny when taken together...
i don't remember the last time i saw a 'your band sucks!'
post even in jest...i think that's more for the old boards of
yore, like amj or something. even azpunk has raised
the bar for their own posts from what i've seen...
anyway, it's all well and good to talk about this
stuff, but it seems like a lot of doublespeak at the
same time. so henri wants to unify the scene.
what does he mean by that? what will the scene
be like if or when it's unified? guide us through a
typical week in the life of the scene. what will the
scene be doing in the future that it's not already
doing?
we need practical answers and not theoretical ones.

I am clad to see make this challeneg in my direction. I welcome your offer and am willing to show you. Here's some solutions:
get the local media involved and do positive community benefits for our commuinty., show that the arts commuinty is capable of more than just music shows. COmbine art forms at shows...meet other genres of music....do it all...these are just the tip, and I do not wish to reveal anymore of these ideas because I would just rather have you see them in action. But again, I welcome your challenge and you will see groups never before united within the next year!!! I apologize for my heated language directed toward HFE, I guess I am just guilty of an emotinal response. It is not directed at the world and I am not interested in causing fights...I am interested in getting along with you fine people who have worked hard for our arts commuinty. But we need to do more. But like I said, I cannot reveal all my ideas for this city into the public realm...they are mine and I do not trust any of you, and its mostly b/c I don't know half of you!!! So heads up!!! It's coming your way!!!

I've been in Phoenix since 1983.
My main band has never played a show at Modified, I kiss Leslie's ass purely for the pleasant taste.
I don't kiss anyones ass for shows, I try to play in good bands, and let that do most of the work for me.
I have nothing to do with the ticket price for the shows I play.,..I assume the promoter, Stateside, and the headlining artist, have something to do with that...
we try to play the best shows we can, at the best venues we can.....we've never made more than $75 for a show....(don't tell the bass player, he left early & we drank his share)
I'll play for free...however, I will not carry my gear for free......
I pay to go see musicians, why should people not pay to see us?
I don't appreciate the negative comments regarding the music, I'm very proud of the songwriter & musicians I play with.....yes, even you unluckycharm.
I have no interest in creating a scene...I don't need a scene (some people call those cliques)...I'm inetersted in seeing bands that I like, at venues that I like, and playing with bands that I like (& are musically appropriate).
